Volvo has launched a service In-car Delivery the first commercial in the world. In partnership with PostNord, the service will allow goods orders owners of Volvo in Gothenburg, Sweden is in their cars, instead of their residence.
This system is still fairly limited, but it will allow users to make purchases on Lekmer.com and Mat.se. When the owners make a purchase, they can choose the option of In-car Delivery at the checkout online.

The goods purchased are then packed and picked up by PostNord. The location of the car buyer is then sent to the driver who then approached him and using a digital key to open the trunk. The item was then placed in a vehicle and car owner will receive a notification that the goods they buy are already delivered.

Volvo has a great plan for a service like this, because they will expand to other cities in Sweden and other countries in the future. The company also intends to join the more troops and selling online to give users the choice of goods, are eligible for the In-car Delivery.

 Volvo is not the only company doing this, because Audi teamed up with Amazon and DHL to launch a similar pilot project earlier this year
